Yellowwood café is a country restaurant, serving wholesome country food in a wonderful country setting. It is our pleasure and privilege to be able to have you as guests in this wonderful heritage site. We follow the principals of the Slow food movement, firstly by using locally produced ingredients, secondly keeping it homemade and thirdly using as many organic products as possible. Hopefully you are able to take some time out of your busy life to slow down and experience the environment and the food.

We are a family restaurant and have focused on ensuring the whole family are fed and entertained. We have jungle gyms for all ages of children, a black bike track for the under fives, feel free to bring your own JD bikes or black bikes. That's not all, there are miniature animals to amuse and delight both the little ones and the child within all of us adults.

Yellowwood is the home of the only 2 miniature donkeys in Natal , Jupiter and Anushka hopefully will delight us in time to come by producing a baby donkey.

Blondy and Shorty are the 2 miniature horses, Huff, Puff and Blow our miniature pot belly pigs, Heidi, Gretal, Tinkerbell and Minkie are the miniature goats and the dexter cattle are Dex the bull, Daisy the cow, Daffy and Violet the Heffers. Not forgetting the bunnies, and Henny and Penny the Polish Bantums. Our Miniature animal farm is delightful and certainly brings out the best in all of us. The other animals at Yellowwood are Charlotte the Pony, Cherokee the Chestnut, Buffalo Bill the Ox and of course Sky and Shadow the Birman Cats.
You may sit indoors, on the patio, verandah or on the lawns and gaze out at the unique view of the magnificent Howick Falls . We serve lunches, dinners and teas and offer a varied menu offering light meals as well as a traditional a la carte menu.
